Managing Partner

Devaunt LeClaire is the Managing Partner at Shadow Lake Partners, leading all aspects of Private Equity investment sourcing, due diligence, value creation and oversight, exit dynamics, and portfolio management. Mr. LeClaire’s 20+ year professional career has encompassed military leadership, business leadership, philanthropic leadership, entrepreneurship, and investment management.

Previously, Mr. LeClaire was a Vice President at Plexus Capital, a lower-middle market private investment firm managing both debt and control equity portfolios. Mr. LeClaire served as an Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, becoming an AV-8B Harrier pilot and foreign military advisor with four deployments overseas on U.S. Navy ships and into Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. He continues in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves today, most recently serving as the Commanding Officer of 6th Air and Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, a Reserve unit based in Tacoma, Washington.

Mr. LeClaire is the recipient of the Marine Corps Association Johnson Award for Outstanding Leadership and has received multiple personal decorations for actions in combat and non-combat situations around the globe. He graduated from Washington Adventist University with a B.S. in Business Finance cum laude and earned an MBA from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business, graduating as a Fuqua Scholar.
